Contagion

A thriller centered on the threat posed by a deadly disease and an international team of doctors contracted by the CDC to deal with the outbreak. User Review: Contagion's plot is simple. A woman(Gweneth Paltrow) has just gotten back from Hong Kong and two days later, she bites the dust, and is named "Project 0". But as it turns out her disease is spreading across America, and its up for the scientists to get to the bottom of it, and the citizens to get away from it. Contagion plays like your usual plague movie. It involves a bunch of characters, including a father(Matt Damon) and his daughter, a crackpot journalist(Jude Law), scientists(Including Kate Winslet, welcome back by the way, Laurence Fishburne, and Marion Cotillard). The genre is hard to capture, mainly because a lot of the ideas have been used before. But the film is what i'd like to call the"Magnolia" of disaster movies. The one that others should look up to, and remember and cherish forever. Contagion is more of a character study, and all of the characters are real and we deeply care about them. This is also the most stylish plague movie ever. The way the music and the mood transcend together works so well. The performances are strong from everyone, and the film is chillingly real. I may not believe in 2012, but Contagion makes you wonder. It makes you wonder a lot. Germs just keep spreading and spreading. And I hope people's love for this film just keeps spreading and spreading. This is the best film of the year so far.

$Watch The Last Seven M4ufree-I enjoy thrillers and twists and after reading the other reviews was considering not watching this movie...I am glad that I ignored some of the other reviews because I thought this movie was brilliant. There is violence but not to an excessive degree and you have to pay attention, but all in all the buildup of suspense is good and the story is original. The cast is small but the acting is good and the scenes of a deserted City of London are excellent. The only thing that I didn\'t get was the last scene and at the beginning, a figure darts across the back of the scene that I thought might be part of the story, but it didn\'t seem to develop. I would recommend this to anyone who enjoys thrillers.$

The King of Fighters

$Watch The King of Fighters M4ufree-The King of Fighters is a recent adaptation based on a fighting video game. The previous one is Tekken. I believe this is only released in Singapore. I prefer Tekken to this. Actually, this isn\'t so bad, it is just...average? Again, I am not a video game fan but by seeing the comparison chart between the video game\'s characters and movie characters, this fails. And the thing is the acting isn\'t that good, even Maggie Q\'s is sort of sloppy. Still, the acting is better than Street Fighter: Legend of Chun Li but that is not saying much. The only thing good is the fighting scenes with some CGI added. The story: Nothing much actually...it is actually boring if not for the fight scenes. The story is straight forward, the good guys want to catch/kill the one and only bad guy. I can clearly see that this has a small budget and I think this will be released straight to DVD in other countries. The acting is disappointing. Maggie Q is also not doing her best acting. Ray Park, well, acts like a generic bad guy. Evil eyes and laughing evilly. The fight scenes are okay, the CGI is okay for a movie with a small budget. The music is over-the-top and generic. I feel that the music does not even match some scenes and is just there for the sake of being there. When they talk, there is techno music...just plain weird. Overall: It is just mediocre. It is nothing special. It is just disappointing too. I believe it can be improved in ways. Gordon Chan\'s directing is also disappointing. This is a movie that if you miss it in cinema, you won\'t miss much. Except for the cool fight scenes with CGI and Maggie Q, there is nothing much this movie can offer.$

Downstream (2010)

There were some very interesting uses of graphic art (kinda Frank Miller-ish) and multi-scene shots. In my opinion, the most interesting character is Tobias; the actor does an excellent job portraying a cut-throat S.O.B. The tag line is something like \$

The Switch (2010)

$Watch The Switch M4ufree-The story begins with Wally(Jason Bateman) an uptight cynical person, who pretty much never sees the good in anything, and you ask yourself, who would want to be his friend. But surprisingly he does a good friend in Kassie(Jennifer Aniston), one day while having lunch with her, she tells him that gonna get pregnant by getting artificially inseminated. Wally thinks the idea is stupid, but supports her none the less. While at the party for it, he meets the donor(Patrick Wilson), and Wally gets really drunk, so drunk he ends up in the bathroom with the donors sea min, and he accidentally loses it, decides to replace it with his own. Wally wakes up not remembering anything that happened. Kassie decides to move away, Wally feels lost without her. Seven years later, Kassie moves back and brings her six year old son Sebastion. Wally is glad she is back, but when he meets up with her and when he meets her son, he somehow feels a connection with him. But the question is Is there? Jennifer Aniston is so bleak in this film, she just doesn\'t really grab your interest, Julliette Lewis who I think drank too much coffee for this film, is really unwatchable. Jeff Goldblum is alright in his role. Jason Bateman is the only one who really shines in this film, he gets all the good lines, and his scenes with the kid are memorable. The film is alright, but it never really takes off as it should.$

Lottery Ticket (2010

$Watch Lottery Ticket M4ufree-The film contains very few humour and many stereotypical situations but the lead characters played by Bow Wow, Brandon T. Jackson, and Naturi Naughton were likable enough to prevent this film from being a disaster. Though its very clichéd and typical. You have the lead protagonist Kevin (Bow Wow) whose the straight man and does the right thing, the joker but likable wisecracking best friend (Brandon T. Jackson), and the female friend whom happens to like the lead (Naturi Naughton). The film isn\'t that bad but its just predictable. It has its funny and good moments, which are mostly in the beginning and some of the chase scenes towards the end but not enough. The film starts off pretty interesting but seems to drag in its second half. Even though Kevin was likable the writers didn\'t make him very smart. In the film he wins the lottery ticket leaving in the hood yet he keeps in the ticket with him in his wallet pocket while knowing that people are after him (specifically an ex-con Lorenzo). There\'s one questionable scene at the end involving a public fight with Kevin and Lorenzo, its being viewed by most of the hood yet everyone is just there watching Lorenzo knock Kevin down a few times and no one breaks up the fight, until eventually. The film isn\'t all that bad as the rating shows (its currently at 2.5), and the end shows a good message and pretty good ending to the movie (even if it is slightly predictable).$

Step Up 3D (2010)

$Watch Step Up 3D M4ufree-STEP UP 3D – CATCH IT ( B ) Step Up 3D has the most mind blowing and jaw dropping dancing. The music and dance performances of the movie are par excellence. All the dances are so fun to watch but Obviously the End Dance wins it all, it was Super Fantastic. The only thing Step up 3D lacked big time is its acting department, obviously all them can dance exceptionally well but their acting was quite poor except for Adam G.Sevani Aka. Moss and Alyson Stoner Aka. Cam. Adam and Alyson has prior acting experience so they were great along with their dancing. Adam and Alyson\'s road dance was one of the sweetest dance performance I\'ve ever seen. Stunning looking Sharni Vinson danced really well and in some scenes she acted quite well. Gorgeous Boy Rick Malambri was the weakest Actor and Dancer among them all. His dancing with Sharni Vinson was great but in whole group he was the weakest link. Sadly, he had no expressions on his face whether he is serious, sad, happy or funny, he had the same expressions except when he Smiles. I think he got this job because of his looks because he is a terrible actor. One thing besides his good looks saved him was his awesome chemistry with Sharni Vinson. All the other dancers were great in dancing and terrible in acting. Overall its highly enjoyable because of its Incredible dance routines so, if we forget the terrible acting by most of them, its pretty good.$

The Other Guys (2010

$Watch The Other Guys M4ufree-Will Ferrell and Mark Whalberg are The Other guys. The Other guys is Will Ferrell\'s funniest and most fun film since Anchorman,which was his masterpiece. THere is a lot to admire here. The film is similar to Cop out, only funny. In the police force, there are cops who get into car chases and shoot down bad guys. The real deal. Then,there are The other guys(Ferrell and Whalberg). Allen(Ferrell) is a goofy cop who doesn\'t really care about his job.But Terry(Whalberg) is quite the opposite. He really cares about his job. This is part of the reason why they don\'t get along. So, after the real deal cops die, they decide to try and take their place. The cast also includes Samuel L. Jackson and The Rock as the better cops, Eva Mendes as Allen\'s wife,who he seems to not care about, Michael Keaton as the chief, Steve Coogan as the guy they\'re after, and more. I had a blast with The Other guys. It\'s the first Will Ferrell comedy in years that could become a classic. Anchorman was an instant classic. This is his best comedy since Anchorman. That\'s my opinion. The film goes in the tradition of films like Rush hour and Lethal weapon. But it goes a little further than the level of Rush hour. Cause here both actors are very likable. Unlike Rush hour,which I only payed attention to do to Chris Tucker. I appreciated Mark Whalberg\'s role in this film. After seeing him in a film like The Departed where he plays such a serious cop, here he plays such a serious cop but in comedy form. I enjoyed The Other guys. It\'s hilarious,fun and exciting.Originality?I don\'t know. But you forget about that. Enjoy yourself.$

Centurion (2010)

$Watch Centurion M4ufree-Centurion is a great film, and I suspect it\'s going to be totally underrated by the cinema-going public. I saw it at my local Odeon last night, the only cinema in town showing it, and I strongly suspect it won\'t be on next week. This is an example of a really good British film from a director with a strong pedigree not getting the kind of publicity and public interest that is frequently given to the most heinous rubbish that Hollywood can produce. Granted, many people don\'t share my director-centric view of forthcoming features; I\'m prepared to risk getting my fingers burned occasionally in avidly chasing any films made by a select bunch of my favourite directors, but my approach is usually rewarded with excellence, like Centurion. In structure it is a very simple story, beautifully shot and honestly told. The bloody battles are very realistic - you get a good feel for what it might actually have been like to fight hand-to-hand in ancient times, frantic and deadly. The characters are simply drawn, and develop through their actions rather than words (quite literally in the case of Olga Kurylenko\'s \$

Vampires Suck (2010)

$Watch Vampires Suck M4ufree-If you are a fan of Twilight you will enjoy this. There are more funny moments - laugh out loud moments than you\'d expect. Without giving away any jokes for enjoyment - there were a lot of things to make fun of and the contemporary references were spot on. For this kind of movie they did as good a job as possible given the subject matter. Compared to other spoof movies its less corny and slapstick. Of course there are some exaggerated parts and overkill on certain jokes but overall it was well done. It was nice that they used famous dialog from the movies to spoof like \$

$Watch Dinner for Schmucks M4ufree-The film was incredibly funny! I admit i didn\'t expect much, because, there were too many dumb comedies out there that were way too overrated, but Dinner For Schmucks made me cough from laughter. The interesting thing about this movie is that if you go through the reviews, half of them hate it & half of them love it. It\'s no surprise.. i mean there must be a review like mine on the stupid overrated comedies i hated. Even though The 40 Year Old Virgin was one of the worst, not funny( 1 or 2 giggles in 2 long hours of stupidity) overrated comedies i have ever seen, Steve Carrell is one of very few actors who can really act funny & for me , Dinner For Schmucks was his best work since The Office Paul Rudd always brings this nice warm feeling into a film. The only reason why i watched DFS is because i wanted to see these two actors collaborate It\'s a beautifully funny movie! Well played & well made!$

Black Death (2010)

The young monk Osmund (Eddie Redmayne) asks his beloved Averill (Kimberley Nixon) to travel to a remote village after the Dentwich Forest where the Black Death has not reached yet. She tells that she will wait for him in the forest, but Osmund tells that he will stay in the Staveley Monastery since he is a man of God. However, the emissary of the bishop Ulric (Sean Bean) arrives in the monastery recruiting a religious man to guide his soldiers and him through the forest and the swamp to the village. They believe that there is a necromancer resurrecting people and protecting the village from the plague. Along their journey, they fight against forest thieves and Osmund finds Averill\'s clothes dirty of blood. When they reach the village, they find happy and healthy villagers that have renounced God living in peace, and they are welcomed by the leaders Hob (Tim McInnerny) and the alchemist Langiva (Carice van Houten). She shows Osmund the dead body of Averill that they have found in the woods. However, during the night, Langiva brings Averill back to life and Osmund tries to warn Ulric and his men. But they have already been drugged and sooner they have to renounce God to survive. \$

Salt claims that she is innocent and asks Ted to call her husband, but she is not successful in her attempt. Salt asks Ted to give protection to her husband but she decides to flee to seek out Mike. Ted does not believe she is a Russian spy but the Secret Agent Peabody (Chiwetel Ejiofor) orders his agents to capture Salt dead or alive. \$
