When the November cold threatens to disrupt the annual Pritchett family barbecue, Boyd decides to have it in his apartment. Joy gets sleepy every time her upcoming marriage is mentioned; Leonard delivers food to an infirm elderly woman who demands much more. The Pritchett cousins are stranded on the highway, Wyleen is hit on the head by a flying pork chop, Joy falls asleep into a bowl of baked beans and Leonard's outburst shocks the old woman.
